He looks down at his wine for a moment, smiling as he neatly folds his napkin and sets it to the side. "I would like that too," he says, and turns his eyes back up to hers, meeting her gaze. For a moment, he looks as though he may be about to say something else; at last, he shakes his head almost ruefully, emptying his glass. "I have not," he confesses, "felt so light in some time. I would be glad to make it habit - though let us not forget that the night is far from over."
Which feels almost too forward; and yet, he hardly thinks she will mind. Not by her behaviour up to this point, and not by the way she is looking at him now.
